"This was given as a Christmas gift and I was so pleased to see how great the quality of this lighter was. The flame was even burning and very efficient. I would definitely recommend this Colibri Thunderbird Butane Lighter." ~Emma E. Mcduffie (United States)
"I am a frequent traveller for business and I have to say this is an invaluable addition to my travel accessories. Regular lighters and matches just don't cut it for cigars. Now I can being my butane jet cigar lighter with me on business trips and vacation, allowing me to truly enjoy a good cigar at my destination." ~D. Schneider
"I travel quite a bit (mostly by air) and in the past I always brought my cigars, a portable humidor and one of my S.T. Dupont lighters with me on my trips. However, when the airline lighter ban started being enforced I made the decision to leave my treasured lighters behind. While in Miami I saw this nifty little case for sale. I was dubious at first but it has a sticker right on the outside of it that says:
"LIGHTER IN THIS PACKAGE CONFORMS TO DOT-SP 14327 AND MAY BE TRANSPORTED IN CHECKED BAGGAGE BY DOMESTIC PASSENGER AIRCRAFT"
Well, that convinced me to give it a try. When your bags are opened and searched the TSA leaves a notice (what I affectionately refer to as a "love letter") in your bag letting you know that it was randomly chosen for inspection. So far I have had my bag inspected dozens of times with my butane lighter safely stored inside the Colibri Tranzpack TSA and DOT Approved Airline Lighter Case. I have never had a problem with it being ceased. I am aware that "torch" lighters are still banned, whether in a case or not, and I have never tried to pack one.
The Colibri is kind-of cool looking, not classy but interesting enough to have geek-appeal. Many of my friends have seen me pull my lighter out of it and they always want to see it and find out where I got it. I have to admit that I still don't travel with my really expensive lighters, it just isn't worth the risk, but for an everyday butane lighter it is perfect." ~Timothy B. Riley (San Antonio, TX USA)

| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Don't lose your lighter to airport security because you don't have the appropriate method of carrying it aboard the plane. Use the Colibri Tranzpack to avoid losing your favorite lighter in such an unfortunate and preventable way. This case was approved by the FAA, DOT and TSA to allow you to carry a butane filled torch lighter in your checked baggage on domestic flights. The hard exterior of the Tranzpack contains a foam liner that will accommodate most torch lighters that will fit in your pocket.
- Unscrew the top of the transpack, put your fuelled lighter in the foam, put the top back on and put it in your checked luggage. It is that simple.
- DOT and TSA stamp and code numbers right on the tranzpack in case if TSA questions it.
- Hard polycarbonate exterior with foam inside.
- The foam liner has an opening that will flex to accommodate the size and shape of most pocket-sized torch flame lighters. The case is also waterproof and buoyant, so if you're traveling by boat, your lighter is safe.
- As of August 4, 2007, the butane filled torch lighters are only allowed to be carried in checked luggage as long as they are in this TSA approved torch lighter carrying case.
